Haley’s Plan on Getting SC Residents Back in Homes

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Governor Nikki Haley says assessment began Saturday and continues through Sunday and possibly Monday, in areas hit hard by Hurricane Mathew.

Haley says they will wait on counties and emergency crews to get into the areas and assess. We will know what roads are closed, what bridges are passable says Haley.

In the next few days you’ll see crews working in areas, cleaning up downed trees, repairing power lines, assessing flood areas, say officials.

Asking for patience Sunday because they will be doing a lot of surveillance and getting reports from the counties.

If we can get in front of that, but for right now we have to assess says Haley.
