Clown Threat Made on Social Media

Spartanburg, S.C (WOLO)— Spartanburg police are investigating a threat made on social media claiming clowns will attack on Halloween.

According to Deputies and School officials the threat was posted on Instagram and Twitter in what authorities say was a “Poorly written post” threatening that a clown will stab and shoot people at the Spartanburg Dorman School and during the football game.

While officials say this could very well be a hoax, they are not taking any chances and have planned to increase patrols at both locations as a precaution.
