SC State Fair Underway: Hit the Midway and Grandstand

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – This year, when you plan your trip to the South Carolina State Fair, you can exchange your ride voucher for a Pay-One-Price wristband to enjoy unlimited rides all day, for the first time ever!

That is just one of several new additions to this year’s fair.

New rides: The Freak Out, Chopper Charlie and The Tornado

Wednesday, Oct. 12: Aloe Blacc

Friday, Oct. 14: Lynyrd Skynyrd

Monday, Oct 17 : Dustin Lynch

Wednesday, Oct. 19: Alabama

Friday, Oct. 21: for King & Country

Sunday, Oct. 23: Kirk Franklin

Whether it’s the animals, rides, arts and crafts, flower shows or food, Fair officials invite you to come out and hit the midway.

$5 parking, cash only.All parking fees help support our scholarship program, according to Fair Officials.

ABC Columbia will have a tent at the fair and we welcome you to come meet and greet our team right in front of the Ellison Building.

ABC COLUMBIA NEWS will be LIVE each weeknight at 6pm, stop by and see us!

Thursday, Oct 13

  • SC Farm Bureau Day

    FREE admission for two (2) with your valid SC Farm Bureau Membership card.

  • 4-H Alumni Day

    4H Alumni admitted free with Registration Certificate.

  • Future Farmers of America Day

    All Future Farmers of America (FFA) students admitted FREE with FFA membership card.

  • Weekday Lunch Promo

    Every weekday, exchange $10.00 cash for a token at the ticket booth and purchase a fair-tastic lunch from any and all of our vendors between 12 noon and 2 pm. Then get your $10.00 back when you return your token to the ticket booth by 2 pm.

Friday, Oct 14

  • Weekday Lunch Promo

    Every weekday, exchange $10.00 cash for a token at the ticket booth and purchase a fair-tastic lunch from any and all of our vendors between 12 noon and 2 pm. Then get your $10.00 back when you return your token to the ticket booth by 2 pm.

Saturday, Oct 15

  • 4-H Day

    Free admission for all those with official 4-H membership card.

Monday, Oct 17

  • Weekday Lunch Promo

    Every weekday, exchange $10.00 cash for a token at the ticket booth and purchase a fair-tastic lunch from any and all of our vendors between 12 noon and 2 pm. Then get your $10.00 back when you return your token to the ticket booth by 2 pm.

Tuesday, Oct 18

  • Weekday Lunch Promo

  • Physics Day

    All students wearing the official Physics Day Wristband admitted free.

  • Kindergarten Day

    The fair will offer free admission to kindergarten classes and their teachers who would like to visit the Fair on Kindergarten Day.

Wednesday, Oct 19

  • Weekday Lunch Promo

    Every weekday, exchange $10.00 cash for a token at the ticket booth and purchase a fair-tastic lunch from any and all of our vendors between 12 noon and 2 pm. Then get your $10.00 back when you return your token to the ticket booth by 2 pm.

  • Seniors Day

    Free Ferris wheel rides for those 55 and older.

  • Kindergarten Day

Thursday, Oct 20

  • College Day

    All college students with a current valid college ID may enter free.

  • Exceptional Citizens Day

    Persons with life-long disabilities (developmental or physical) admitted free.
