Pepsi Putting Healthy Twist on Soda
Columbia, S.C. (WOLO) — The Pepsi Generation will soon have to get ready for a new twist to an old favorite.
PepsiCo has announced their plans to drastically cut sugars and calories in dozens of its products in hopes of making them a little sweeter for your health. The company says they plan to have at least two thirds of Pepsi drinks with a hundred calories or less by the year 2025.
Their soft drinks aren’t the only thing that could face changes. Pepsi says they’re also hoping to reduce saturated fat and sodium levels in other products like their Frito-Lay Chips.
The Food giant says they decided to make the change based on consumer preferences and new dietary guidelines from the world health organization.
