Mother Charged in Baby’s Death

CHAPIN, S.C. (WOLO) – Authorities have charged a woman with unlawful conduct towards a child after the infant died on August 3 of a drug overdose.

Elizabeth Ashleigh Thompson, 36, was arrested on October 25. She is currently pending bond at the Lexington County Detention Center.

A toxicology reports says the infant had been exposed to Methamphetamine in utero.
