Jury Selection Set to Begin in Michael Slager Trial

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) – Potential jurors report to the courthouse in Charleston, South Carolina Monday for the murder trial of a white former police officer charged in the shooting death last year of an unarmed black motorist.

Jury selection is getting underway in the trial of Michael Slager. Cellphone video of the shooting of Walter Scott stunned the nation.

The defense contends there is more to the story than the short video shows.
