The Salvation Army Wants to Help Every Family Who Needs It
The Salvation Army holds the Christmas holiday as a special event that near and dear to their cause. Program Services Director Melanie Miller says the organization is all about doing the most good for everyone in the Midlands.
“I’d like viewers to know that the Salvation Army cares about our community and about all people who live here. Our mission is to reach out to others and demonstrate the love if God and that is what we want to do every single day.”
The Christmas Assistance Program is designed to help families in the most need but local director of program services Melanie Miller says the group is open to help anyone who may be struggling.
“If you look forward to the next two months and you have questions in your mind about things being really hard right now and you don’t know if you’re going to be able to have Christmas gifts or a Christmas dinner, come out and let us talk with you.”
