City of Columbia’s 38th Annual Veteran’s Day Parade
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Hundreds came out to celebrate Veterans Day during the City of Columbia’s 38th Annual Veterans Day Parade on Friday morning.
Known as one of the Southeast’s largest Veterans Day Parade, the event kicked off at 11 a.m. from the intersection of Sumter and Laurel streets, and traveled southbound on Sumter Street ending at Pendleton Street near the State House.
This year’s grand marshal was Ft. Jackson in honor of its 100 years of service as a United States Army installation.
The Veterans Day Parade is sponsored by the City of Columbia, AARP and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of South Carolina.
