Statewide Burning Ban Issued

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–The South Carolina Forestry Commission has issued a Burning Ban for all counties.

According to State Forester Gene Kodama,  the ban statewide is due to weather conditions associated with an approaching cold front that presents an elevated risk of wildfire.

Forestry officials are monitoring the Pinnacle Mountain Wildfire in Pickens County. Wildfires are also raging in North Carolina.
