Deputies: Lexington Teens Accused of Throwing Rocks at Cars
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Two Lexington county teens are facing charges, accused of throwing rocks at cars.
According to Lexington County Deputies, the teens have been charged with multiple counts of vandalism. They are accused of damaging at least a dozen cars Friday and Saturday nights by throwing rocks onto Highway 321, say officials.
“A 15-year-old Gaston boy and a 16-year-old West Columbia boy were arrested Saturday night near the intersection of Highway 321 and Wilbur Road,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said.
According to the Sheriff, both teens were taken to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice.
Because they’re both under 17, their names will not be released, says Koon.
“These incidents are still under investigation,” Koon said. “We encourage anyone who might be able to share more information with us to call Crimestoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.”
