Governor’s Carolighting Announces Performers

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Ready to ring in the season? The State Christmas Tree will be lit Thursday, December 1.

And organizers have announced  performers for The 50th Annual Governor’s Carolighting.

  • Carolighting Children’s Choir
  • Dreher High School Choir
  • Dr. Marlena Smalls & The Hallelujah Singers
  • Marina Lomazov
  • Southern Bronze Handbell Ensemble
  • The Carolina Gents

Fort Jackson’s Own 282nd Band Brass Choir will lead carolers in a selection of traditional favorites.

The 2016 Carolighting will be held on Thursday, December 1 at 7 PM on the north steps of the South Carolina State House. This year’s festivities will be held in conjunction with First Thursdays on Main, hosted by Columbia’s City Center Partnership.
