Suspect Arrested in Garbage Body Case

SALUDA, S.C. (AP) – Authorities say they have charged a man with killing a Ridge Spring woman whose body was found at a trash dump in Edgefield County.
Saluda County Sheriff John Perry said in a news release that 46-year-old Kincaid Mitchell of Ridge Spring was arrested Friday.
Perry didn’t say what led investigators to Mitchell or how Nancy Lott was killed. He did praise the six-month investigation into the killing.
Authorities say Lott was last seen in June. Her body was found in August at the dump which takes trash from Aiken, Edgefield and Saluda counties.
It wasn’t known if Mitchell has a lawyer.
