Clemson/Alabama Rematch
Tampa, FL. (WOLO) — The wait is almost over, and not a moment too soon. Football fans started lining up at the Raymond James stadium as early as 4 Monday morning to secure their spot for the 2017 playoff match up.
In just a few hours the Clemson Tigers will have a second chance to claw their way to a win as they hit the grid-iron against Alabama for the second season in a row. It’s anyone’s game as number one ranked Alabama takes on the number two ranked Tigers.
While Alabama Head coach Nick Saban has won the nation championship title five times before, something rival head coach Dabo Sweeney has fallen just short of. In fact, the last time the Clemson Tigers won a National Championship game was 34 years ago.
ABC Columbia’s Sport Director Mike Gillespie had a chance to talk to a former NFL player and analyst, Tim Tebow to find out what it’s going to take for either of the two teams to walk away with bragging rights.
The action kicks off at 8 Monday night on ESPN.
Stay with ABC Columbia News as Sports Director Mike Gillespie brings us live updates from the Sunshine State on the news at 6 and 11.
