Local Principal Appears on Jeopardy
Columbia, S.C (WOLO) — It’s been a dream come true for Dr. Cheryl Guy who has spent the last three decades trying to secure a spot on the ABC hit show Jeopardy. Dr. Guy, a principle in the Richland Two school district was first surprised by a call after several auditions, that she had been chosen as a contestant. The second surprise came when students and staff at Westwood High School gathered outside the front of the school to cheer her on after hearing the news.
Dr. Guy says she has been practicing for the opportunity to appear on the show for years, and has made it to the contestant phase three times in the past 10 years. While Dr. Guy was not able to reveal the outcome of the show she says she is just as eager to see the show along with a host of friends and family members who will be cheering her on throughout the Midlands.
A watch party will be held Thursday at the Columbia Country Club. You can her in action as she takes on two competitors right here on ABC at 7:30pm.
