Sumter Man Wins $1 Million in Lottery Prize

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The question “Who wants to be a millionaire?” has special meaning for a  Sumter man after he won a $1 million lottery prize Monday.

The winner, who asked not to be identified, claimed the by playing Black Ice Millions, according to lottery officials.

The wining ticket was purchased from the Fuel Express on Broad Street in Sumter.

“I just can’t believe it,” the millionaire said after scratching off the first number which revealed the big win. “I’m numb.”

The odds is 1 in 1.6 million to win the last top prize in the $10 Black Ice Millions game.

The retailer received a commission of $10,000 for selling the claimed ticket.

Players can continue to enter non-winning Black Ice Millions tickets into a final drawing to award an additional $1 million prize. The draw date has yet to be announced, for updates and details visit sceducationlottery.com.
