A Not So Sweet Study

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO) —- A nice tall glass of one of those sugary drinks is not what the doctor ordered. In fact, a new study says children are especially being affected by the amount of sugary drinks they’re consuming.

According to the study almost 2/3 of children are drinking at least one sugary drink per day, while about 30 percent are gulping down 2 or more.

This has been an ongoing issue even though health experts suggest the amount of sugary drinks you consume like soda, some soft drinks and even coffee and teas should be eliminated or reduced.

The American Beverage Association however says they’ve been proactive and have launched a series of ways for people to reduce intake.
