Fitness Friday: A little resistance can keep you in shape

Certified fitness instructor Heather Cooper joined Tyler Ryan with some tips on the use of bands and resistance training

COLUMBIA SC (WOLO)–Certified ACE fitness trainer Heather Cooper says that using training bands can provide a great workout that can be packed in a suitcase and brought anywhere.  Cooper says that the bands, which come in different styles and resistance amounts can be found at any sporting good store, department store, or even online at sites like Amazon.com.

Cooper says that like with traditional weight training, the key is to start with a lighter resistance and build you way up.
