Snow Blankets Midlands in March
COLUMBIA, S.C (WOLO)– Rain turned to snow early Sunday morning, blanketing parts of the Midlands.
Snow could be seen falling in parts of the Northwest Midlands , including Irmo and Ballentine. As far as Sumter, residents were reporting seeing flakes falling Sunday around 8am.
Rain and snow fell between the hours of 8am and 10am, but there was no significant accumulation due to the warm ground temperatures.
Newberry and Winnsboro saw heavier snowfall but still no major accumulation in Midlands .
