Annual Walk Promotes Heart Health and Disease Prevention

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The annual Midlands Heart Walk seeks to raise awareness and money to fight heart disease, the nation’s number one killer.

Hundreds will gather outside Colonial Life Arena Saturday to walk for the cause. Participation is free – all you have to do is show up around 8 a.m. The race kicks off at 9 a.m.

Grace Joyal talked to Tim Arnold, CEO and president of Colonial Life, and Lindsay Teague, director of development for the Midlands Heart Walk, about this year’s event.
