Storms Bring Hail to the Midlands

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Wednesday afternoon brought raging winds, rain and even hail, as a massive southeastern storm moved across the Midlands.

In Lexington, people reported hail from Cayce, to West Columbia and other parts of the county.

Wednesday afternoon around 2:45pm reports of penny size hail in the county came in to the ABC Columbia Newsroom.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department sent us photos of the hail reported there.

The winds and rain spawned numerous watches and warnings.
