Fake 911 Caller Strikes Again, Say Deputies

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Lexington County Deputies say the person making fake 911 calls, is at it again.

The caller struck Friday morning with another false call, say deputies.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is searching for the women they say is making the unfounded 911 calls.

Investigators say the calls have been coming in since March.

According to Deputies, Lexington County’s communications center received nearly 60 calls between March 25 and Wednesday that turned out to be baseless.

The Sheriff says most of the woman’s calls to 911 have reported serious incidents such as shootings, robberies or burglaries.
