Staley, Gamecocks Honored During Joint Legislative Assembly
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The University of South Carolina women’s basketball team and coach Dawn Staley returned to the State House today.
This time however, they were recognized by legislators during a special joint legislative assembly for winning the NCAA national championship.
On April 2, the team defeated Mississippi State 67-55 to clutch the championship title at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
