Erin Fox of Gaffney Senior High School Named 2018 South Carolina Teacher Of The Year
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)- The State Superintendent of education, Molly Spearman, announced that the 2018 South Carolina teacher of the year is Erin Fox.
Fox is an English teacher at Gaffney Senior High School in the Cherokee County school district.
Fox pulls from her dramatic, dance and musical background to create dynamic lessons and units for her students. The teacher of the year says she’s honored to receive this award.
“It’s hard for me to put all of my emotions into words because with there are so many accomplished and fantastic teachers who I was so proud to be along side of and anyone of them will work along side me is an honor,” Fox said.
As part of the state Teacher of the Year awards program, Fox receives $25,000 and gets to drive a brand new BMW for one year.
