Graduation Time at University of South Carolina

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– It’s time for the students at the University of South Carolina to don their caps and gowns.

Several commencements are set for Friday.

According to school officials, the School of Law ceremony takes place at 9 a.m. Friday on USC’s historic Horseshoe. J. Michael Luttig, former U.S. Circuit Court judge and executive vice president and general counsel of The Boeing Company, will receive an honorary degree and address graduates.

The School of Medicine commencement ceremony will take place at noon Friday in the Koger Center for the Arts. Dr. Lois Margaret Nora, president and CEO of the American Board of Medical Specialties will address graduates.

The commencement ceremony for graduates of the Darla Moore School of Business, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, and the Arnold School of Public Health will take place at 3 p.m. in the Colonial Life Arena. Vartan Gregorian, president of Carnegie Corporation of New York, will receive an honorary degree during the ceremony.
