Large Gator Spotted Taking Stroll at Timmerman Trail in Cayce

CAYCE, SC (WOLO)- A large alligator has caused Cayce Department of Public Safety officers to temporarily close parts of the Timmerman Trail Saturday.

The City of Cayce announced on their twitter account that Cayce DPS are blocking off an area near the bridge by SCANA & Timmerman Trail because of a large alligator was spotted.

“As an extra layer of protection for our citizens, officers have closed the area until further notice,” Officials wrote on a twitter post.

Cayce officials will notify the public when the trail is reopened.
