Recycle Day Happening in Richland County
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–Get ready to recycle, for free.
The Richland County Solid Waste & Recycling, S.C. Department of Agriculture, local and regional businesses are hosting a Richland Recycle Day.

WHAT: Daylong recycling event for residents to drop off materials for free
WHEN: 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 13
WHERE: S.C. State Fairgrounds, 1200 Rosewood Drive, Columbia
During this annual, daylong recycling event, Richland County residents can drop off electronics, tires, used cooking oil, paint, mattresses, batteries, light bulbs, scrap metal and much more. Last year, nearly 1,000 vehicles dropped off 130,000 pounds of recyclable materials, including 45,000 pounds of electronics, 20,000 pounds of household chemicals and 10,000 pounds of tires.
