Damage Blocks Roads, Downs Power Lines in Prosperity says Sheriff

PROSPERITY, SC (WOLO)–Severe weather rolled through the Midlands Wednesday afternoon causing damage in areas from Saluda to Newberry C0unty.

According to the Newberry County Sheriff’s office the majority of the damage in that area is just outside of Prosperity.

Officials say several roads are  due to trees and downed power lines on the roads.
The majority of the property damage is located in the area of Cy Schumpert Road over to Mid Carolina High School, say officials.

There are approximately 6 homes damaged ranging from minor to severe, according to the Sheriff’s office.

Luckily no one was injured.
