Urgent Call for Blood Donations Issued

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The American Red Cross is calling on you to give blood in these final weeks of summer – in a season where donations are always low.

In August, the Red Cross says its regular donors might delay because of last-minute vacations or the back-to-school rush, but its imperative to keep blood bank levels steady to meet the demands from area hospitals.

As a special incentive, those who give blood or platelets from now until August 31 will be emailed a $5 Target eGiftCard.
