Happening Now: Employ SC

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — Thousands of people were  left without a job after The VC Summer Nuclear Plant expansion was unexpectedly scrapped. Many of them still looking for work may have some luck at two job fairs put in place by Governor Henry McMaster in an effort to help.

The first Employ SC Job Fair is happening today in Chapin today from 9am until 5pm.

Employ SC will provide the thousands of residents in search of employment with the opportunity to connect with prospective employers focused on matching job skills to fit their specific needs.

The fair runs until 5 this evening at the Center for Advanced Technical Studies in Chapin.

If you are not able to make it out there today, you’ll have a second chance to do so Wednesday the 16th.
A second session of Employ SC is being held Wednesday from 9 to 5pm at the Columbia Convention Center.
