Teen Accused of Using Pocket Knife in Stabbing

Lexington, SC (WOLO) —  A West Columbia teen is facing Attempted Murder after authorities say he stabbed another man in the face and neck repeatedly.

According to a warrant obtained by ABC Columbia News,  17 year old Jaylen Wiggins was involved in an altercation in the kitchen of a West Columbia home Friday night.

Deputies say Wiggins used a pocket knife to stab the victim once in the neck, and twice in the ear before putting the knife in a separate location where it was later discovered by authorities.

No word on the relationship between the two or what may have sparked the alleged incident.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and treated for what authorities believe are non life threatening injuries.

Wiggins is being held in the Lexington county Detention Center after being denied bond Saturday.
