COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)-

It’s a tale of holiday heroes.
Labor Day, according to AAA, is one of the busiest travel days for Americans and one family, on their way back home from Atlanta, got a flat tire. The mother daughter duo, devastated, realized their tire had a hole in it and did not have a lug wrench on hand to fix it themselves. The two were forced to rely on the kindness of strangers.
Several people tried to help but could not seem to change the tire.
Thankfully, a Columbia fire truck saw the stranded family and pulled over. Unfortunately, fire crews did not have a lug wrench either and called in for back up. A second Columbia fire truck came to the rescue and helped the pair get back on the road.
