Tracking Hurricane Irma- ABC Columbia Chief Meteorologist John Farley
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Chief Meteorologist John Farley is tracking Hurricane Irma and the potential impact the storm could have on South Carolina, and the Midlands. The forecast is tracking more West as it heads inland.

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster has ordered the evacuation of Barrier Islands in Colleton, Beaufort & Jasper counties starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.
McMaster says there are No other evacuations ordered.
Officials say they expect the storm surge could be as high as 4 to 6 feet due to the high tides in these areas.
McMaster says State Agencies are asking everyone to be prepared for Hurricane Irma.
“We’re not declaring this disaster over. We are taking a very cautious approach” said Major General Bob Livingston.
