Emergency shelters open across the Midlands

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) –

In anticipation of Hurricane Irma, emergency shelters are now open across the Midlands should you need it.
Make sure you bring a personal ID, important documents, any medications you take, extra clothing, pillows, blankets, and hygiene supplies. If you have a restrictive diet you will need to bring your own food.

Several county schools are now open as emergency shelters for families:

Alllendale – Alllendale Elementary School

Anderson – Anderson Civic Center

Bamberg – Richard Carroll Elementary School

Beaufort – Battery Creek High School

Beaufort – Bluffton High School

Calhoun – Calhoun County High School

Charleston – Charleston County Facility

Charleston – Coastal Pre-release Center

Clarendon – Manning High School

Clarendon – East Clarendon High School

Claredon – Scotts Branch High School

Colleton – Colleton County Middle School

Colleton – Colleton Medical Center

Hampton – B.T. DeLoach Building

Jasper – Ridgeland High-Junior-Elementary Complex

Kershaw – Camden High School

Orangeburg – Branchville High School
