4th Vista Shooting Suspect Out of Hospital, Behind Bars

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)- The fourth suspect arrested and charged for the Saturday morning shooting in the Vista is now behind bars.

Columbia Police announced on Twitter that Maleik Houseal, who was injured in the Vista shooting incident, has been released from the hospital and is in jail.

Houseal was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of a Crime of Violence.

Bond was denied for John Bates Jr.,28, and Keveas Gallman, 28. Both men are facing multiple charges including attempted murder.

Jarvis Tucker,26, was granted a $250,000 bond, for his accessory after the fact charge.

Bates has seven counts of Attempted Murder, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime and Possession of a Weapon by a Person Convicted of a Violent Crime.

Gallman has One Count of Attempted Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Pistol, Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime.

According to Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook , the incident was the result of two parties exchanging gunfire.

Holbrook said the shooting was in the location of Empire Supper Club, 4 males, 4 females injured most in mid 20’s.

The Chief has declared Empire Supper Club on Lady St. a public nuisance. Business license revoked, doors padlocked.
