Police investigate after discovering the remains of a dead baby inside an apartment

FOUNTAIN INN, S.C. (WOLO) –

An investigation is underway after officials found the remains of a dead baby inside an apartment complex Monday.  Fountain Inn Police Captain Michael Hamilton says a Laurens county deputy was there serving eviction papers to a woman when they made the gruesome discovery. While police say they have interviewed a person of interest they would not confirm if it was that evicted tenant or the baby’s parents.
