Kohl’s Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

Lexington, SC (WOLO) — A woman accused of spraying a a loss prevention employee twice with pepper spray is now in custody.

Authorities say, 32 year old Veronica Bailey allegedly took several children’s clothing items and while inside the dressing room stuff them into her purse, according to police. Officials say store employees noticed her bag was much larger when she exited the dressing room. As she began heading out of the store the loss prevention officer, police say is familiar with Bailey,  asked her to return the merchandise.

According to police, Bailey then sprayed the officer in the face with pepper spray twice as he was attempted to get her license plate number.

Bailey has been charged with armed robbery and is currently in the Lexington County Detention Center being held on a 20 thousand dollar bond.
