The holidays are over when the grinding of the greens stops

Thursday is the final day to have trees ground into mulch

COLUMBIA SC (WOLO) — With another holiday season passing, comes the time honored tradition of turning the trees into mulch.  According to Keep The Midlands’ Beautiful’s Lauren Robinson, Thursday is the final day to drop off Christmas trees off to be ground into mulch, which will be given away on Saturday.

According to Robinson, the free mulch will be distributed Saturday morning at Seven Oaks Park in Irmo and the State Farmers Market in West Columbia.  The Saturday morning program will last until the mulch runs out.
