MLK Day Events in Columbia

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–Today is Martin Luther King Jr day and the Midlands is honoring the date with several events.
The City of Columbia is hosting it’s 30th celebration at MLK park and community center at 4pm Monday.
This year’s keynote speaker is Benedict College’s first female President Roslyn Artis.

Also happening– the organization “Friends of African American Art and Culture” is hosting a celebration of dreamers event.

All of these events are free.

On Sunday, to kick off the observances, the SC NAACP hosted a concert at Zion Baptist.
