City of Columbia to Host Go Red Day Event

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The City of Columbia is going Red.

The city is inviting the public to take part in the Go Red for Women press conference and community photo opportunity.

The event will help and support the women affected by heart disease, the number 1 killer of women, say officials.

According to the City, the press conference will be held on National Wear Red DayFriday, February 2 at Noon.

The press conference will be hosted by Councilwoman Tameika Isaac Devine and a woman who is a heart attack survivor will be speaking to share her story. Both men and women are encouraged to wear red the day of the conference.
