COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – A new exhibit coming to Columbia features the work of 40 Midlands women and girls.
“Seen and Heard” opens at Tapp’s Arts Center on Thursday.
The exhibit is comprised of photography and portraiture made by women and girls of all ages and backgrounds. The work will be on display through February 22.
The project was guided by Women’s Rights and Empowerment Network, a group working to give voice to South Carolina females.
“Seen and Heard” is one of eight unique gallery openings happening across the region featuring the body of work, to provide a collective perspective on the female experience in our state.
The exhibit is free.
