Karamu Black History Parade and Festival in Columbia
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– You can join the city in celebrating Black History Month with a parade and festival Saturday.
The 14th Annual Karamu Black History Parade and Festival is being held at the corner of Harden and Gervais streets.
City organizers sat the festival will include exhibitors, vendors and live entertainment. Musical acts include the 69 Boyz, Marcus Hawkins, Salil Myers, Tiffany J and Musical Solutions. This parade grand marshal is former state Representative Bakari Sellers.
The parade will kick off at 12 p.m. at the corner of Harden and Gervais streets and will travel south on Harden Street and end at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park located at 2300 Greene St. The Black History Festival will begin at 1:15 p.m. at the park.
