Man Dies After Being Ejected During Wreck in Richland Co.

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WOLO)- One man is dead after being ejected from his car during a crash in Richland County.

Coroner Gary Watts said Joshua Weatherford,29, died from blunt trauma to the upper body.

Troopers say on Friday Weatherford was headed North on I-77 at mile marker 7 when he loss control and went off the left side of the roadway and stuck a guardrail. Weatherford was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from his car, according to Troopers.

Weatherford’s car came back on the roadway and was hit by a Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating this incident.
