Lexington Sheriff investigating potential threat at Chapin High

CHAPIN, SC (WOLO) – The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department announced Monday (2/9) night that it is investigating a potential threat made at Chapin High.

Few details have been released regarding the circumstances of the threat.

The agency says it’s been in constant communication with Lexington Richland 5 School District during the investigation.

LCSD plans to place extra deputies on campus and increase patrols in the area Tuesday.
