Funeral Arrangements for Reverend Billy Graham

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WOLO)- The Billy Graham Library and House Speaker Paul Ryan have announced plans to memorialize the televangelist pioneer.

A motorcade will leave the Billy Graham Training Center in Asheville, N.C. Saturday, February 24th at 1 p.m. and arrive at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte at 3 p.m. for a ceremony.

On Monday, February 26th, Graham will lie in repose at the Graham Family Homeplace at the library until Tuesday, February 27th. The public may visit his closed casket from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. both of those days.

Then on Wednesday, February 28th, Graham will lie in repose at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda in Washington D.C. Lawmakers on Capitol Hill and the public are encouraged to attend.

Graham’s body will remain in Washington until Friday, March 2nd when his funeral is scheduled to take place in Charlotte at a private ceremony at the library’s Prayer Garden.
