Existing home sales down amid rising costs

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – If you want to sell your home, there’s not a lot of competition right now but there also aren’t many buyers.

Existing home sales fell 3.2 percent in January from the previous month, according to the National Association of Realtors.

Experts say part of the problem is houses are getting expensive, with many selling above asking price.

Mortgage rates are also climbing.
