A’ja Wilson still not practicing, status for Friday unknown

Columbia, S.C. — Gamecocks star and 3-time SEC player of the year A’ja Wilson still isn’t practicing, after sitting out last Sunday’s loss vs. Tennessee with vertigo.
When asked about Wilson’s status for the weekend, head coach Dawn Staley replied that Wilson intends to board the plane, stating that she would even wear a helmet if she had to. Whether or not Wilson will be able to play however is still very much up in the air.
The Gamecocks will face the winner of Thursday nights Auburn/Tennessee matchup on Friday night. USC is 0-2 this season vs. Tennessee, with Wilson sidelined for both games.
