Richland county man arrested on child pornography charges

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO) – Officials say, Gilbert Baco, 71, of  Columbia, SC, has been arrested on twelve charges connected to the exploitation of a minor.

Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which led them to Baco. Investigators say Baco distributed and possessed files of child pornography.

Baco was arrested on Friday (3/2).  He is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
