(WOLO) – President Trump hit China with new tariffs and China has promised to hit back.

Fulfilling a campaign promise, the President on Thursday (3/22) announced wide-ranging tariffs on billions of dollars of Chinese imports into the US.

The move heightened fears that a trade war could follow.
