Rate cuts for SCE&G customers will continue for now after court denies utility’s motion

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – Lower rates for SCE&G customers will stick around for the time being.

The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals denied SCE&G’s motion to stop the legislature mandated rate decrease while the legal battle surrounding it continues.

State lawmakers voted to force the utility to lower its rates in the wake of the VC Summer debacle.
