FLORENCE, S.C. (WOLO) – Bailey Harris’ hall of fame career coaching basketball at Lexington High School came to a close Saturday night as the Wildcats’ season ended in the SCHSL 5A Lower State Championship, falling to Berkeley 47-42.

Harris, who won two state championships in his 22 year tenure at LHS, announced his intention to retire at the end of the season earlier this week. They had won all 29 of their games on the campaign until Saturday night.

The Lexington girls team also fell short of a return to the Midlands for the State Championship, dropping to Goose Creek 43-28.
